Bulk Billing
If your GP has prepared a Mental Health Treatment Plan and provided a valid referral, you may be eligible for Medicare benefits for up to 10 individual psychological sessions per calendar year.
Eligible Fern Up Psychology appointments may be bulk billed, which means no out-of-pocket fee for an approved session. Availability and eligibility must be confirmed before booking.
A GP review and further referral may be required to access the full 10 sessions.
Medicare clinical psychology by telehealth
Fern Up provides online clinical psychology appointments across Australia. For an appointment to be billed under Medicare, the referral, treatment plan details, available sessions and service eligibility need to be confirmed before the session.
A Mental Health Treatment Plan does not automatically make every psychology appointment free. Psychologists set their own fees. Fern Up may bulk bill eligible appointments when the required information and availability have been confirmed.
